I enjoyed meeting all the Grade 8 students this past week. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other and i'm sure that will carry on throughout the year!
On Friday our class worked on setting a goal for the number of pages that we could read as a class in the month of September. I was thrilled with the number we came up with: 17,000 pages!!! Great job 8C! So in order to reach our goal and have our classroom party, we need to start reading. This includes 20 minutes every week night plus a little extra on the week-ends. Also, please remember to bring your novel with you to class everyday so that we can read during ELA.

An assignment will be handed out next week and the students were asked to look at home for pictures or drawings that relate to these three aspects. Hope everyone has a great week-end!
